She first started her career being an original ladybees hive team trainee, she was part of sh1 team then later on got transferred to wind.
Mengjie later went on and joined the survival show produce 101 china back in 2018(also known as cz101).
Rocket girls101(火箭少女101)
After placing 11th on cz101 mengjie would later make her offical debut with rocket girls101(hjsn101).
SOLO CAREER
Mengjie released her first solo ep titled '11' on June 18h, 2021 with the title track "Tag" marking this her official debut as a solo artist.
Ladybees
Hive teams/tarinees were made out of girls who didnt make it into the main group and who took part in the first & only ladybee elections. Mengjie was one of the winners of the elections showing that she was very popular within the group, she would later go on to join the survival show cz101 leaving the group.
produce 101
Produce 101 china was a spinoff of mnet's popular show produce 101 which we all know. Mengjie was known as one of the best dancers on the show, two of her most notable performances being "look what you made me do" and "我就是这种女孩". Mengjie would be considered the "dark horse" of cz101 because throughout the entire show she had never ranked in top 11 till the finale where she ended up ranking 11th with 83M votes making her the last member of rocket girls101.
Rocket girls101(火箭少女101)
Rocket girls "debut" is considered jun23rd 2018 which was the finale of cz101 and with the song "Rocket Girls" but they officially debuted on august 18, 2018 with "collide (撞)" under wajijiwa entertainment . The group would later go onto releasing their first studio album "The Wind (立风)" a year later which inculded mengjie's solo song "How To Make An Airplane". Rocket girls ended becoming one of china's top girl groups, setting the standard for girl groups because at the time there weren't many girl groups in china. Rocket girls 2 year contract with wjjw ended on june 23rd 2020 meaning the girls sadly disbanded making mengjie now a soloist.
SOLO CAREER
In January 2021 mengjie canceled her contract with amg entertainment and established her very own company Beijing Hongtao Culture Communication Co., Ltd alongside her own work studio Rainbow Dreamworks. Since then she appeared in three dramas 'Love Me Fearlessly', ' Secret In The Lattice', and 'I Told My Crush To The Wind' which will be aired soon. She released her first ep '11' on June 18h, 2021 with the title track 'TAG' the ep also includes two other songs "Rainbow's Smile" and "Wait Till Tomorrow To Hold Hands".
